We offer fishing charters, snorkeling adventures, whale watching, scenic coastline cruises, and customizable ocean experiences around Kaua‘i.

Are your charters private?

Yes — all charters are designed for your group only, allowing for a more personal and flexible experience on the water.

How many guests can you accommodate?

Our vessel, the Kaimanu, is certified to carry up to 11 passengers.

Where do your tours depart from?

Departure details and harbor information will be provided after booking confirmation.

Do I need fishing experience?

Not at all! Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced angler, our crew is happy to guide you throughout the trip.

What should I bring?

We recommend bringing:

  • Sunscreen

  • Hat & sunglasses

  • Towel

  • Drinks (optional)

  • Light jacket or cover-up

What is included?

Depending on your charter, we provide:

  • Fishing or snorkel gear

  • Cooler with ice

  • Pupus (light snacks)

  • Life vests

  • Experienced captain and crew

Are food and drinks included?

Light snacks are included. Additional food or catered lunch options may be available for longer charters upon request.

What if the weather is bad?

All charters are weather and ocean-condition-dependent. Safety is always our top priority. If conditions are unsafe, we will work with you to reschedule or discuss available options.

Can we customize our charter?

Absolutely. One of the things that makes Ocean Charters Kaua‘i unique is the flexibility of our experiences. We can often combine activities such as fishing, snorkeling, sightseeing, and whale watching, depending on conditions and timing.

What marine life might we see?

Depending on the season and ocean conditions, you may see:

  • Dolphins

  • Sea turtles (honu)

  • Tropical fish

  • Humpback whales (seasonal)

Wildlife sightings are never guaranteed, but we always do our best to provide the best possible experience.

Is snorkeling gear provided?

Yes, snorkeling gear is provided for snorkeling experiences.

Do I need a fishing license?

Yes. Hawai‘i requires a saltwater fishing license for fishing charters. We can help direct you to the appropriate link before your trip.

What is your cancellation policy?

We ask for cancellations at least 14 days prior to your scheduled charter date.

Is there an age limit?

Minimum age requirements vary by experience. Please contact us if you have questions about your group.

Is the charter safe for pregnant women or guests with medical conditions?

Due to ocean conditions, charters are not recommended for pregnant women or individuals with serious health, heart, or back conditions, recent surgeries, or mobility limitations.
